I believe that women are strong individuals, capable of more than society expects of us. I am passionate about this, and eager to help women dispel their fears about giving birth and about their body’s natural abilities.
I believe that pregnancy and birth is a sacred life-shaping experience for both parents and baby, and that having valuable support during the transitional phase is essential.
I believe in bringing support, compassion, and dedication to the women and families with whom I am privileged to work.
I love the uniqueness of each special birth, and am honored to be a part of this special time.
Having a home water-birth was important to me as a first-time mother. I didn't want to stress out about leaving my comfort zone (i.e., my home!) and I wanted to make it as comfortable as possible for both baby and me. What I didn't know was how relaxed and magical it would be, and what a wonderful achievement it would feel like!
These past few years operating Tranquil Birth Solutions has been amazing. My great love for babies and my interest in safe childbirth practices have only grown stronger with the birth of my two children. Training to be a Doula was the logical next step, and something I was very excited to do.
After completing the DONA Birth Doula Workshop in 2015 I worked independently as a doula for a short time before VIDA Doulas recruited me to join their amazing team of women. As a group we offer many services including doula support, childbirth education, breastfeeding education, and more!
